New drivers are more likely to have an accident in the first year after passing their test than at any other time in their motoring career.

Pass Plus is a Government initiative, supported by the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) and a range of UK car insurers. It encourages those who have just passed their driving test to become safer and better drivers.

The Pass Plus Course will cover the following modules:

  • Busy main roads
  • Motorways
  • Quiet country roads
  • Night driving
  • Difficult weather conditions
  • Dual carriageways

Roadwise Driver Training builds on this successful nationwide scheme with its own custom-designed Pass Plus Course, which offers participants the opportunity to experience practical training in all of the foregoing elements.

Our course adopts the successful ‘hands-on, hands-off’ tuition technique used in Scottish police driver training. A typical Roadwise Driver Training Pass Plus Course involves two participants having the opportunity, in an eight hour 'Away Day', to experience each of the first four modules. This training is generally delivered in a higher performance vehicle than our standard tuition car.

The course is completed by separate sessions in night driving and driving in difficult weather conditions, the latter using our state of the art Skidmaster simulation vehicle.

By completing the course successfully you will:

  • improve your awareness and understanding.
  • enhance your skills.
  • gain the satisfaction of driving in a more positive and controlled way.
  • reduce your chances of being involved in an accident.
  • be eligible for a significant discount on your car insurance premium.
